Edgar Soriano is a versatile, Southern California-based musician and educator with years of teaching experience. Having started his musical journey at an early age, Edgar went on to solidify his expertise by pursuing a degree in Music from Whittier College. He is just as proficient with rhythm section instruments as he is with wind instruments, having learned early on that musical skills are deeply transferable from one instrument to another. By leading by example, Edgar demonstrates to his students that mastering multiple instruments is a completely tangible possibility. Thanks to his training under a wide variety of private instructors, he thoroughly understands the pedagogy required to navigate and tailor every lesson to fit each student’s unique wants and needs.
Edgar does not just teach proper technique, music theory, and musicality—he shows how these skills apply to the real world as a performer, a collaborator, and ultimately, as a well-rounded musician. Immersing oneself in the craft is expected; Edgar focuses on providing the tools necessary to become the ultimate musician while encouraging students to find their own unique sound and identity in their playing.
With active experience in the music industry, Edgar understands the culture and dedication it takes to be a great artist. Throughout his musical journey, he has performed in several bands and ensembles, produced and written music with fellow artists, and regularly shares his talents as a multi-instrumentalist in his church choir every Sunday.
