Kelly Jeong’s musical journey began at the early age of 5, when she discovered her passion for the piano in her hometown of Seoul, South Korea. Guided by supportive family members, Kelly quickly demonstrated a natural talent and dedication to mastering the intricacies of piano technique and musical expression.

 

From early on, Kelly showed remarkable promise as a pianist, winning several prestigious competitions. These early achievements not only solidified her commitment to music but also provided valuable opportunities for advanced training and artistic growth.

 

Kelly’s educational journey led her to pursue formal piano studies at Dajin University, where she refined her technique and broadened her musical horizons under the guidance of renowned faculty members. Her time at Dajin University provided her with invaluable experiences in solo performance, collaborative music-making, and musical theory, shaping her into a versatile and accomplished musician. In 2004, she played as a principal pianist with Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra and performed E.Grieg A Minor Piano Concerto at prestigious venues such as Youngsan Art Hall.

 

Alongside her studies, Kelly developed a passion for collaborative music-making as an accompanist. Her experience in accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, and chamber groups further enhanced her understanding of ensemble dynamics and musical interpretation, complementing her solo performance skills.

 

Today, Kelly Jeong enjoys a multifaceted career as both a dedicated piano teacher and a sought-after accompanist. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in nurturing each student’s individual musical voice while instilling a strong foundation in technique and musicality. Kelly’s experiences as a performer and accompanist, provides her students with valuable insights into the art of musical collaboration and expression
