Larry Demian has taught music since 1994 to students of all ages and abilities from 3 years old to seasoned adults and from beginners to advanced levels, both in private and group settings. He focuses on building a strong foundation of technique and theory freeing the student to explore and reach their musical goals. As an adjudicator at music competitions, he understands the amount of preparation necessary to perform for an audience. He has also directed elementary and Jr. high school bands & church groups, and enjoys teaching a variety of instruments and styles.
Larry especially appreciates the opportunities he had to perform with internationally recognized & award winning orchestras in the U.S. and abroad, and had toured with his church’s worship team until he married and had children. A few of the musical memories he most cherishes are his appearances on the TV sets of The Mike & Maty Show, America’s Funniest Home Videos, and A Musical Encounter, plus entertaining at several White House Christmas parties and the Kennedy Center in D.C.
“I enjoy seeing the ‘fortes’ created by the discipline of studying music in a student’s overall growth, especially academically, and am often thanked by students for my extraordinary patience and ability to clearly communicate the concepts. I strive to meet & exceed the goals of the students so that music can take them above and beyond their dreams .“
