Safiya Reyhan is a graduate of California State University Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Music and is currently enrolled in a Music Industry Administration program at CSUN. She specializes in Drums and Percussion.
Music has been a part of her very being since her earliest memory. She began playing the drums at ten years old and through self-taught YouTube lessons, elevated into playing percussion, piano and electric guitar. Her love for playing the drums quickly grew into something so much bigger – it evolved into a profound love and deeply-rooted passion for music overall. With years of music performance and technology experience, her creative talent and passion for music are limitless.
Throughout her academic and professional career, she has had the privilege of working with children from various backgrounds and age groups. Whether it was leading an after school music program or lending a hand to the school’s summer youth program, Safiya has always found immense joy in connecting with learners young and old, and fostering their creativity.
